The Moscow River is 300 miles long and 48 of those miles wind their way through Moscow. Boat cruises are a pleasant way to see the city - especially the Kremlin. One of the popular embarcation points for a cruise is at the river embankment near the Kievsky Railway Station which is on the west side of Moscow. The cruise boat takes you downstream through the heart of Moscow and then turns around and stops at the Novospassky Bridge in the east end of Moscow. You can buy a return ticket or disembark here and try your luck with cabs or the Metro.
